Doctor Megan Ries
Dr. Megan Ries grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In pursuit of working in healthcare, she studied at Wartburg College earning a degree in biology. She went on to complete her doctoral studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Since, she has extended her training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in pregnancy and pediatric care.
Since graduation in 2013, she has cared for patients across Iowa and has been practicing in the Des Moines area since 2016. She holds a Perinatal Certification, representing 80 additional hours of advanced training in the care of women before, during, and after pregnancy. Her passion for chiropractic runs deep, and she loves walking alongside patients as they work toward a more active, healthy life.

Outside the office, Dr. Megan lives the lifestyle she encourages for her patients. She loves reading, being outdoors, staying active, and sharing her home with her two cats. She is an active member of Lutheran Church of Hope and has volunteered with the Girls on the Run program. Dr. Megan has served in leadership roles with genYP, Greater Des Moines Toastmasters, and the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce. In 2017 she was recognized as an Outstanding New Iowa Chiropractic Society Member.
Doctor Adam Ries
Dr. Adam Ries was born and raised in Hopkinton, Iowa and was introduced to chiropractic as a child, an experience that shaped his understanding of what great care can do for a person's life. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wartburg College, earning a degree in biology. He went on to earn his doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

Since graduating, Dr. Adam has care for patients across Iowa and has been practicing in the Des Moines area since 2016. He is passionate about helping patients break through the barriers that have been keeping them from living the way they want.

Outside the office, Dr. Adam leads the same lifestyle he encourages his patients to pursue. He is a avid runner with a number of half marathons under his belt. He enjoys experimenting with new recipes and spends time outdoors and with his backyard chickens. He is an active member and volunteer at Lutheran Church of Hope. Dr. Adam has served in leadership roles with YPIowa, WestYP, and the West Des Moines Kiwanis Club.
Our History
Ignite Chiropractic was sparked from a deep respect for what was built at Yost Family Chiropractic over the past two decades and desire to carry that legacy forward.

Dr. Megan and Dr. Adam have practiced at this office since 2021, caring for the same patients, in the same community, with the same commitment to NeuroStructural Corrective Care. When the opportunity came to take ownership and build something of their own, it felt like the next natural step.
The name may be new, but the faces, the approach, and the genuine care for every patient who walks through the door remain the same. Ignite Chiropractic exists because we believe you deserve a practice that is built to last, just like the results we provide.
