Perinatal Chiropractic
During pregnancy, your body goes through incredible changes to support your growing baby. Those changes can often come with increased discomfort. Prenatal chiropractic care helps your body adapt safely and comfortably, reducing tension and easing pain as pregnancy progresses.
Many moms often come to us for low back, hip, pelvic, and neck discomfort, and many want to feel more prepared for labor and delivery.

Dr. Megan Ries, D.C. is Perinatal Certified, having completed 80 additional hours of advanced training for the care of women, before, during, and after pregnancy, helping moms feel their best at every stage.
Postpartum Chiropractic
Your body keeps changing after delivery. Carrying a car seat, nursing in the same position for hours, and getting up at night all add up. And, your pelvis and low back are still recovering from pregnancy. Postpartum moms often come back to us for low back, hip, neck, and upper back discomfort. You're welcome to bring baby along! Many moms schedule their visit alongside their little one's.

Regular chiropractic care, along with proper nutrition and exercise, can help women get well, stay well, and be their best throughout pregnancy and delivery.
Prenatal chiropractic care can help relieve low back pain, support balanced uterine ligaments, and includes fascial and soft tissue techniques around the fetus to reduce in-utero constraint. Care focuses on pelvic balance and comfort as your body changes week to week.

Lacy
"I went for help with my lower back pain I was experiencing during pregnancy. She not only treated me but helped teach me exercises that would help with labor and delivery. I didn't use chiropractic with my first child. By choosing this practice, I labored for a third of the time and pushed for only five minutes. I recommend prenatal chiropractic care for all expecting mothers."
Liv
"Dr. Megan is absolutely amazing. I have struggled with migraines and they have decreased dramatically after being seen. She's also trained in pregnancy and prenatal and adjusted me during pregnancy. Before I came in, I could barely walk. I believe it also helped with a smooth delivery."
Hannah
"My husband and I moved our family to Des Moines while I was pregnant with our second child. I was super uncomfortable and had a lot of pain. They are the reason I was able to handle the rest of my third trimester and find relief. I was able to keep up with our son and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy."

Can you receive chiropractic care during pregnancy?
Yes! There are significant structural changes taking place as your body grows with your baby and prepares for labor and delivery. Our care focuses on the pelvis and low back as they adapt so you can stay comfortable and keep moving through each trimester.

When should you start prenatal chiropractic care?
There is no single right time to begin chiropractic care during pregnancy. Many expectant moms schedule an initial appointment during the first trimester and continue care throughout, though you're welcome to start at any point.

What is "Webster Technique?"
Webster technique is a specific analysis used to assess the pelvic integrity of pregnant women. In conjunction with specific adjustments of the pelvis, sacrum, and surrounding structures, it can help restore balance to this region during pregnancy. Dr. Megan and Dr. Adam are both certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in Webster Technique.
